- MORE SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION FROM THE SCHOOL COUNSELING DEPARTMENT: It is that time of the year when many different scholarships become available and often the School Counseling Department is asked for information and insight in regard to recommendations for students that may best match certain criteria. While we feel that we know you well, there is much that you do in your daily life, after school and in the community, that we may not know. Therefore, if you would like to be considered for possible scholarships that arise, we are asking you to provide us with a résumé or activity sheet. Please include your intended major (if you know it), or your current GPA, and all the things you have been involved in, along with any other pertinent information that you might deem important. We ask that you submit this information to the School Counseling Office by Friday, March 7, 2025, so that we can keep it on file for reference. Thank you and good luck!
- ATTENTION SENIORS – CAP & GOWN INFO: Cap and gowns for graduation are now on sale through Friday, February 28. Order form and money can be turned in at the School Store before school or to Mr. Durland in the Phys. Ed. office during the day. Order form can be found on the Senior Class Google Classroom. Please return form and initial the appropriate line even if you are not ordering anything. If any questions, see Mr. Durland.
- ATTENTION JUNIORS AND SENIORS! Sergeant Piazza from the Navy will be visiting tomorrow, Wednesday, February 12, during Seminar in Room 101 to discuss the Navy Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (NROTC) program and various scholarship opportunities available to students interested in military service and leadership. The NROTC program offers high school students the chance to earn a full-tuition scholarship to leading colleges and universities while preparing for a future as a commissioned officer in the United States Navy or Marine Corps. Scholarships cover tuition, fees, textbooks, and even provide a monthly stipend. This is a great opportunity for students looking to serve their country while receiving a top-tier education. If you are interested in attending, please visit the Attendance Office to request a pass.
- DOG TOY DRIVE: Please consider contributing to the Guide Dog Foundation and America’s Vet Dogs by donating to the Dog Toy Drive! This fundraiser is sponsored by our KPHS Postgraduates. The event is happening now through Monday, March 24. Just scan the QR code on the flyers around the halls for a wish list of items needed. Drop all donations in the box in the KPHS lobby.
