The SAT and ACT exams are nationally administered standardized exams that help colleges evaluate students for admission. Both, the SAT and ACT are accepted by most colleges across the country. The SAT exam is a three part aptitude test that consists of a math, reading, and writing section. The ACT exam is an achievement test that includes English, math, reading, and science sections, as well as an optional writing section.

Students with Disabilities
Testing accommodations for both the SAT and the ACT exams require parents and students to complete additional accommodation requests. Although students may already receive testing modifications on local and/or state exams through their formalized Individualized Education Program (IEP) and 504 plans, these are not guaranteed by either SAT/ACT testing.
