- INFORMATION REGARDING STUDENT PARKING: Please pay attention to ParentSquare messages: Whenever we have a delayed opening, there is NO student parking. If you choose to park in this situation, parking is forfeited for 2 weeks.
- SPIRIT WEEK! We are celebrating Spirit Week this week! Today, Thursday, October 16, is Senior Buddy Day – please pick up permission forms in the school store. Tomorrow, Friday, October 17, is Color Day – Underclassmen wear white; Seniors wear black.
- ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS – EXOTIC BOWLS FOOD TRUCK IS COMING TOMORROW! Exotic Bowls food truck will be coming to school tomorrow, Friday, October 17, for all lunch periods. It is first come, first serve, with seniors going first, and all other students after, if time permits. Make sure to bring cash or card tomorrow to get a treat during lunch.
- PEP RALLY! Tomorrow, Friday, October 17, is our Pep Rally! Make sure to follow the schedule for the day that was posted on all Google Classrooms. Please wait for the announcement at the end of the day so that you know when it is time for classes to go down to the gym with your teachers.
- HOMECOMING T-SHIRTS: If you would like to purchase a Homecoming T-shirt, they will be available for purchase in seminar and during all lunch periods today, Thursday, October 16, and tomorrow, Friday, October 17.
- JUNIOR CLASS FUND RAISER: The Junior Class is selling raffle tickets for baskets with gift cards from local businesses. They will be coming around during seminar as well as selling during Bonfire. The winners will be selected after Bonfire. 1 ticket for $2…..3 tickets for $5…..7 tickets for $10…..Arm length tickets for $20.
- SENIORS! Do you want control over the playlist for upcoming festivities? Bring song requests to either Mr. Costelli or Ian Corbett to add to our playlist. The songs have to be school appropriate to be heard at the Pep Rally, Bonfire, Countdown, and more!
- ATTENTION ALL 11TH GRADERS: Just a reminder that on Wednesday, October 22, we will have the digital PSAT. Please make sure to arrive to school on time, bring a fully charged Chromebook and pencils. If you have College Board accommodations, you will be meeting with Mrs. Maffei this week to review them and your location.
- FALL DOOR DECORATING CONTEST: The National ART Honor Society’s FALL DOOR DECORATING is upon us! Our members will be coming around with a participation slip for your seminar teacher to sign up. This year’s theme is TREEPLE/TREE PEEPS!!! You will be given a creepy tree to create whatever you can conjure up!! Winner will receive a delicious breakfast! Good luck!
- SWEET NEWS, KINGS PARK HIGH SCHOOL! COOKIE SALES ARE BACK – BETTER THAN EVER! Get ready for the smell of freshly baked cookies drifting through the halls…because the Postgraduates are back with your favorite treat! $2 for 2 warm, delicious cookies. - U.S. ARMY: The U.S. Army will be here today, Thursday, October 16, in Room 101 during seminar to talk about careers and job, benefits and opportunities, and ROTC scholarships. Please stop by the Attendance Office for a pass if you would like to find out more information.
- FASHION CLUB: There will be a Fashion Club meeting today, Thursday, October 16, after school in Room 32. All are welcome!
- BOYS BASKETBALL: There will be a Boys Basketball informational meeting for any boys grades 9-12 interested in trying out for JV/Varsity today, Thursday, October 16, 1st half of seminar in Room 211.
- DECA: Interested in business, marketing, finance, or leadership? Join DECA – a club that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for real world success! The first meeting will be today, Thursday, October 16 after school in the Writing Center in the library. If you are unable to make it, but are interested in joining, please see Ms. Gatti in the guidance office.
- MOCK TRIAL CLUB: There will be an important informational meeting for the Mock Trial Club after school at 2:00 p.m. in Room 215 on Monday, October 20. All are welcome to attend!
- National History and Civics Honor Society: There will be a The National History and Civics Honor Society meeting on Tuesday, October 21 at 2:00 P.M. in the cafeteria.
- NO PLACE FOR HATE PLEDGE RECOGNITION: On Friday, October 24, all seminars will be given materials for this year’s No Place for Hate pledge recognition. This year’s theme is “Kingdom of Kindness the No Place for Hate Way.” Please make sure to follow the directions for this year’s pledge that will be provided by your teacher. Here’s to another great year!!
- GIRLS BASKETBALL TRYOUTS: For anyone interested in tryouts for Girls Basketball, there is a mandatory meeting on Monday, October 27, right after school in Room 101.
