- INFORMATION REGARDING STUDENT PARKING: Please pay attention to ParentSquare messages: Whenever we have a delayed opening, there is NO student parking. If you choose to park in this situation, parking is forfeited for 2 weeks.
- ATTENTION SENIORS: Due to the decrease in parking lot space from the snow, please consider carpooling or being driven this week.
- ATTENTION ALL SENIORS – SCHOLARSHIP PACKETS & APPLICATIONS NOW AVAILABLE: The SCHOLARSHIP PACKET AND APPLICATIONS ARE NOW AVAILABLE ON THE KINGS PARK HIGH SCHOOL WEBSITE FOR REVIEW AND PRINTING. Be sure to print the LIST OF APPLICATIONS & SCHOLARSHIP PACKET FIRST to view each of the scholarships’ criteria. Then print the individual application forms that interest you. If you are unable to print any of the documents, please see Mrs. Guarnieri in the main office for copies. APPLICATION ARE DUE BACK TO THE MAIN OFFICE NO LATER THAN THE DUE DATES LISTED ON THE SCHOLARSHIP PACKET!
- ATTENTION ALL STAFF AND STUDENTS: The Leadership Club needs your help. We are helping a former student with collecting new or gently used scarves, hats, mittens, gloves, and earmuffs. For the rest of the month, please place the donations in the various boxes inside the KPHS. If any questions, please see Ms. Ayres or Mrs. Cohen.
- ATTENTION SENIORS: Payment collection for caps and gowns has begun and goes until Friday, February 13. All exact payments must be handed to Mr. Durland via check written out to Kings Park High School. Make sure to put this on your to-do list so that there are no delays. Please keep checking Parent Square and the Senior Google Classroom for important information and deadlines concerning graduation.
- ATTENTION ALL VARSITY CLUB MEMBERS: Please take a moment and check out the Varsity Club Google Classroom.
- INTERESTED IN BECOMING THE NEXT KINGS PARK MASCOT? If so, log onto your grade level Google Classroom to get more information and fill out the Google form. See Mr. Mammolito for more information. This is open to all 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students. Go Kingsmen!
- ATTENTION SOPHOMORES AND JUNIORS – NATIONAL ENGLISH HONOR SOCIETY APPLICATIONS: If any Sophomore or Junior is interested in joining the National English Honor Society, please pick up an application in either Room 110 or Room 111 this week. Applications are due to Mrs. D’Aleo and Mrs. McGrann by this Friday, January 30. Late applications will not be accepted.
- NATIONAL ART HONOR SOCIETY APPLICATIONS NOW AVAILABLE: The National Art Honor Society now has applications available for the 26-27 school year. If you would like to apply to be part of the NAHS, get an application from Art rooms 32 & 33. Completed applications are due on Friday, March 6.
- ATTENTION ALL PIANO PLAYERS: Piano NYSSMA forms are now available from any school music teacher. Stop by today so you can sign up. All forms are due by Friday, February 6.
- YEARBOOK SALES: The price of the yearbook is now $130.00. To order one, go to the yearbookforever website and follow the prompts. Please contact Mr. Soltysik with any questions (soltysiks@kpcsd.org). Parents/Guardians (of seniors): In addition to purchasing a yearbook, you can create a personalized “Ad” for your child that will be placed in the back of the book. Ads are limited to 1 per student in order to allow space for as many students as possible. Pricing options vary based on the size Ad you wish to create. Ads must be purchased and submitted by Monday, March 9. The option to buy an Ad (“Create an Ad”) is right below the yearbook purchase option.
- COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS: Looking for community service hours? Then take a look at your Google Classroom for opportunities.
- NEXT SAT MATH PREP SESSION: The next SAT Math Prep Session will be today, Tuesday, January 27, in Room 105/107. Make sure you have your chromebook, calculator, and a pen or pencil.
- SITE-BASED MANAGEMENT MEMBERS: Our next meeting is today, Wednesday, January 28, at 2:00 p.m. in Room 101. All Site-Based members are expected to attend. Our rescheduled Shared Decision meeting will be on Monday, February 2, with other members of the district. Please come directly to Room 101 at 9:00 a.m.
- HELP SUPPORT THE FRESHMAN CLASS: The Freshman Class will be selling popcorn during seminar for one dollar tomorrow, Thursday, January 29.
- U.S. MARINES VISIT: The U.S. Marines will be visiting tomorrow, Thursday, January 29, during both halves of seminar in Room 101. Stop by if you are interested in learning more about the educational opportunities, scholarships, career pathways, and service options available through the Marine Corps. All students are welcome!
- YOUnity CONFERENCE – REMINDER: Students attending the YOUnity Conference in Commack will be departing from the lobby at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, January 30. Please make sure to see Mrs. O’Connor or Mrs. Cohen with any questions. Lunch will be provided on this trip.
- ATTENTION NATIONAL ENGLISH HONOR SOCIETY MEMBERS: Your poetry assignment is due this this Friday, January 30. Please bring it to Room 110 or 111. Applications for office positions are due by this Friday, January 30, to Mrs. D’Aleo and Mrs. McGrann. Late applications will not be accepted.
- ATTENTION NO PLACE FOR HATE MEMBERS: Our new meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 4, during the first half of seminar, in Room 101. Please make sure to get your pass from your seminar teacher.
